What is BreakCheck?
BreakCheck is an independent review platform for the card collecting and breaking community. We exist for one reason: to give buyers a clear, honest picture of who a seller is across every platform they operate on — before you spend a dime.
Whatnot. eBay. TikTok Shop. Instagram. Facebook. A seller can have five different profiles and five different reputations. BreakCheck brings them together into one place.
Why does this exist?
Breaking cards online is a $30B+ market and growing fast. But the community has a trust problem. Pack searchers, shorted boxes, ghost shipping, and bad breaks happen every day — and buyers often only find out after the money is gone.
Platform review systems are siloed. Sellers can have stellar eBay feedback but a terrible reputation on Whatnot, and there's no easy way for new buyers to know that. BreakCheck fixes that.
How it works
- Search for a seller by name or platform handle
- View their profile — ratings, platforms, and reviews from the community
- Leave a review after a purchase to help other collectors
- Add sellers who aren't in the system yet
Reviews cover four categories: Pack Integrity, Shipping, Communication, and Value. Because "arrived on time" and "didn't hit anything" are two very different problems.
Who's behind this?
BreakCheck is an independent project built by and for the card community. We don't work for any platform. We don't take money from sellers. Our only interest is giving buyers the information they need.
